The Robotiq Finishing Copilot software is a software for finishing applications with Universal Robots. Finishing Copilot's path generator requires only a handful of waypoints to generate complex finishing paths. Only 4 waypoints need to be taught for a flat surface, 6 waypoints for a curved surface and 9 waypoints for a round surface. Finishing Copilot generates the complete path and applies a constant force to each cycle. Unlike most cobot applications, Finishing Copilot allows the programming of an external TCP. The robot understands that this is an external finishing tool.
