The Cambrian Vision System was developed for cost-efficient, fast and robust order picking, pick-and-place, machine tending, feature recognition, assembly, supermarket, warehouse logistics and other automation and manufacturing tasks.

The system is based on AI. To make accurate predictions, the AI model only uses the image data from the stereo cameras, which can be attached to the robot or above the workstation.

The image processing system does not require any external light such as structured or infrared light. The system is very robust against changes in external light conditions, even when it gets very bright or dark. The AI model calculates the exact position of the parts and the suitable gripping points within 0.2 seconds.
