Aim Robotics AimPath

AimPath from Aim Robotics is an intuitive software solution that significantly simplifies the process of teaching complex robot paths. Instead of laboriously setting individual waypoints, the robot is simply guided by hand along the desired path. This method saves valuable time, especially when working with irregularly shaped components, and enables quick commissioning of a wide variety of applications without the need for in-depth programming knowledge.

Intuitive setup via on-screen guidance
Paths are recorded in real time as the robot is moved manually. This direct method is significantly faster than the conventional method of teaching individual points and is ideal for complex contours.
No additional hardware required
AimPath utilizes the robot's built-in features. No external sensors or camera systems are required, which keeps system complexity and acquisition costs low.
Suitable for use with all tools
Whether it's dispensing, grinding, or pick-and-place—the software is compatible with any end-effector. Once paths are recorded, they are automatically converted into waypoints and integrated into the program tree.

Description

With AimPath, programming cobots can be reduced to three simple steps: start recording, follow the path, and press Play. The software automatically converts the smooth motion of the hand guidance into precise waypoints, which can then be edited directly in the program tree of the teach pendant.

AimPath offers a significant time-saving advantage, particularly for demanding tasks such as adhesive dispensing or surface finishing (grinding), where the robot must follow complex geometries. Since the solution is natively integrated as a URCap, it fits seamlessly into the familiar user interface.

Companies benefit from significantly increased flexibility: even staff without programming experience can quickly learn new procedures for changing product variants. This makes AimPath the ideal tool for high-mix production environments, where speed and ease of changeover are critical.
