Why UR+ gripper? The Benefits of the Universal Robots Ecosystem
Automation with Universal Robots is characterized by flexibility and ease of use. UR+ certified gripper systems consistently build on this concept. They are precisely tailored to the specifications of the UR models. For you, this means: maximum utilization of the payload, perfectly matched cable routing, and full support for the robot’s safety functions.
Full control directly through PolyScope thanks to URCaps
The biggest advantage of the UR+ gripper in the software. Each gripper with a corresponding URCap —a software plugin that integrates directly into Universal Robots’ PolyScope user interface.
- No programming required: You control the gripper through external code, but through intuitive graphical elements directly within the robot program.
- Real-time feedback: Parameters such as gripping force, finger position, or vacuum pressure are displayed directly on the teach pendant and can be dynamically adjusted during the process.
- Quick product changeovers: When handling different workpieces, you can adjust the gripper with just a few clicks during the program run.

Gripper Types: The Right Technology for Your Application
The properties, shape, and weight of your workpieces determine the optimal gripping principle. Our product line offers you complete flexibility for any automation task using your Universal Robots cobot. To make your selection easier, our product line is divided into three main technological groups:
Finger Gripping Systems (Parallel and Centric Grippers)

These classic jaw grippers are the most versatile choice for workpiece handling, machine loading, and precision assembly processes.
- Two-Finger Parallel Gripper: The universal standard for rectangular and cylindrical components.
- gripper: Ideal for round workpieces or tasks that require automatic centering.
- Drive System of Your Choice: Most of these finger grippers are electrically powered, which allows you to control stroke, finger position, and gripping force with millimeter precision via the URCap. For applications with ultra-short cycle times or heavy loads, powerful pneumatic grippers are also available.
Vacuumgripper Suction Cups

The top choice for intralogistics, packaging handling, palletizing processes, and high-speed pick-and-place tasks. These systems handle flat, porous, or flexible materials with exceptional care.
- Classic Pneumatic: Utilizes the production line's existing compressed air supply for maximum suction power.
- All-Electric (Tubeless): Many modern vacuum grippers generate the vacuum electrically right at the robot arm. They do not require an external compressed air line running along the cobot, which greatly simplifies installation and reduces energy consumption.
Specialized Grippers for Unusual Geometries

When standard grippers or suction cups reach their limits, these innovative custom solutions offer new possibilities for your production:
- Adhesive grippers: These utilize the biomimetic gecko principle. They adhere to smooth surfaces without any energy input and leave no residue on sensitive components.
- Magnetic Grippers: Compact and extremely powerful end-effectors for the reliable handling of ferromagnetic components.
