Aim Robotics AirBox

The Aim Robotics AirBox is an electronically controlled dispenser controller designed specifically for use with a wide range of cartridge media. It provides precise and repeatable air pressure and vacuum control for general dispensing tasks. As a true plug-and-dispense solution, it enables rapid integration into collaborative robot systems and natively supports the Universal Robots e-Series.

Plug & Dispense in 10 Minutes
The system is designed as an all-in-one solution that is ready for use in just 10 minutes. Thanks to the simple connection via a single M12 8-pin cable, there is no need for complex wiring.
Drip-free dispensing via vacuum control
The AirBox features a built-in vacuum suction-back system that reliably prevents dripping from the dispenser. This ensures clean dispensing results and reduces material waste with every cycle.
Full process control via URCap
All dosing parameters are controlled directly via the intuitive URCap software interface. A programmable under- and overpressure monitor also provides immediate alerts in the event of deviations from the setpoint, which significantly simplifies quality assurance.

Description

The Aim Robotics AirBox uses high-precision pneumatic controllers and sensors to ensure top-notch quality in dosing applications. Its flexibility in handling various media is particularly noteworthy. With six predefined configurations, the AirBox can be quickly adjusted to accommodate different containers:

  • Syringes: 30/55 cc
  • Standard cartridges: 310 ml or 600 ml
  • Two-component systems: 400 cc cartridges and mixing ratios of 1:1 and 1:2

The rugged 6061 aluminum housing is IP65-certified, providing optimal protection against dust and water jets and making it ideal for industrial environments . Electronic control of the output pressure between 0.1 and 7.0 bar allows for the precise processing of media with varying viscosities .

A particular benefit for users is the seamless integration into the robot controller: features such as “Prefeed Duration” allow the AirBox to build up the desired pressure steadily even before the robot moves, ensuring a consistent material flow from the very first second.
