Schmalz FXCB surface gripping system
The Schmalz FXCB surface gripping system is a lightweight, pneumatically operated vacuum gripping system for cobots. It has been developed for applications in packaging, intralogistics, and pick-and-place processes where different workpiece sizes or varying surfaces must be handled reliably. Thanks to the integrated vacuum generation and the flexible choice of sealing elements, the system can be quickly integrated into existing processes.
Description
The FXCB area gripping system has a modular design and is suitable for companies that need to move different packaging shapes or products. Thanks to the integrated ejectors, the vacuum is generated directly in the tool, which simplifies installation and reduces air consumption. By using suction cups or sealing foam, the system can be adapted to the nature of the workpieces – from sturdy cardboard boxes to flexible packaging.
The lightweight design allows the cobot to move dynamically without significantly affecting its payload. At the same time, the system is robust enough to work reliably even in fast-paced processes. The FXCB is particularly suitable for pick-and-place stations, palletizing applications, end-of-line processes, or handling mixed goods where a large contact surface and even force distribution are required.
