SMC ZGP
The SMC ZGP vacuum gripping system is the ideal solution for the safe handling of workpieces using suction cups. Description
The ZGP system was developed to make vacuum applications on collaborative robots as efficient as possible. Unlike conventional solutions, where ejectors and valves often have to be mounted externally, the ZGP offers a compact all-in-one unit. This not only saves space but also reduces cycle times thanks to short flow paths within the air system.
A particular advantage is the versatility of the bellows suction cups, which provide a reliable seal even with slight height differences or slightly sloped surfaces. The integrated pressure switch enables continuous monitoring of the gripping status, which enhances safety in human-robot collaboration. Whether for packaging, sorting, or general handling—the ZGP system is a robust and easy-to-integrate solution for any modern cobot cell.
