SMC LEHR

gripper SMC LEHR gripper electric gripper brings intelligence and maximum process reliability to your cobot application. As a certified solution for leading manufacturers such as Universal Robots, the gripper can be put into operation directly gripper a single M8 electrical cable. Thanks to the battery-free absolute encoder, time-consuming reference runs after a restart are eliminated, which sustainably increases efficiency in your production. Since it is a fully electric system, it also offers a clean and energy-saving alternative to traditional pneumatic grippers.

Battery-free absolute encoder
The gripper its position without a battery. After a power outage or restart, it immediately resumes movement without having to return to its initial state.
Secure grip thanks to self-locking
A mechanical spindle drive ensures that workpieces are held securely even in the event of a power failure, without requiring any additional energy.
Single-cable solution (Plug & Play)
The entire installation is carried out using a single cable with an M8 connector. Control is intuitive and is handled directly via the robot tablet, for example using URCap.

Description

The SMC LEHR series was developed to fully leverage the benefits of electrification. By eliminating the need for compressed-air hoses, installation is not only simplified, but the carbon footprint is also reduced by up to 52%.

The system is available in two configurations: The Basic model features a short distance between the mounting point and the gripper center for minimal lever forces, while the Longitudinal model is optimized for use in narrow workspaces. Particular emphasis is placed on flexibility: gripping force, position, and speed can be precisely adjusted to suit the specific workpiece. The integrated manual tool changer also allows the gripper to be mounted quickly and securely on the robot gripper just two clamping bolts.

With a repeatability of ±0.1 mm and a robust design, the LEHR is the perfect choice for modern, flexible production lines.
