SMC MHM magnetic gripper
The SMC MHM is a compact magnetic gripper for the safe handling of sheet metal and other ferromagnetic workpieces. It generates a high holding force without vacuum technology and holds the workpiece reliably even when the compressed air is switched off. The gripper available in four sizes from Ø16 to Ø50 mm and offer flexible mounting options.
Description
The MHM magnetic gripper is particularly suitable for applications where conventional vacuum technology reaches its limits—such as when handling perforated sheets, structured surfaces, or air-permeable workpieces. The compact design, integrated magnetic mechanism, and option of front, side, or central mounting allow for flexible integration.
Optionally, auto switches can be mounted on two sides to evaluate status queries such as "workpiece held" or "released" directly in the process. For applications in which workpieces vary in strength or are sensitive, the adjustable holding force offers additional safety.
