SMC RHMHF

The SMC RMHF is a high-performancegripper an extra-long stroke, specifically designed for handling workpieces of varying sizes. With a stroke of 64 mm and a gripping force of 90 N, it offers maximum flexibility combined with a compact design—the housing height has been reduced by approximately 35% compared to standard models. Thanks to its certification for Universal Robots and integrated valve technology, it is a highly efficient plug-and-play solution for versatile pick-and-place tasks.

64 mm total stroke for maximum flexibility
The long stroke allows for the handling of parts of various sizes in a single cycle without the need for gripper retooling of the gripper .
Extremely space-saving design
Despite its long stroke, the RMHF series stands out thanks to a height reduction of approximately 35%, which significantly expands the cobot’s usable workspace.
Intelligent workpiece recognition (optional)
An optional position sensor outputs the stroke position via an analog signal—ideal for measurement tasks, component sorting, or quality control.

Description

The SMC RMHF series bridges the gap between compact standard grippers and large-reach lifting systems. By integrating the solenoid valve directly into the gripper housing, there is no need for external components, which not only reduces weight but also cuts air consumption by up to 80%.

The RMHF really comes into its own, especially in production lines with high variability. When combined with the optional position sensor, the gripper can gripper only grasp workpieces but also measure them or sort them at the same time. The repeatability of 0.1 mm in position measurement ensures reliable process operations. Like the entire series, the long-stroke variant is designed for simple single-cable installation and, thanks to software support for Universal Robots, can be put into productive use in no time.
