Cognex In-Sight 2D Robot Guidance
Cognex In-Sight 2D Robot Guidance is a vision solution that helps Universal Robots cobots accurately detect and approach parts. The URCap plugin simplifies the entire vision integration process, from communication between the camera and robot to hand-eye calibration and vision-guided movement. This allows a UR cobot to be quickly and reliably combined with a Cognex In-Sight vision system—ideal for pick-and-place, orientation detection, or inspection tasks.
Description
In-Sight 2D Robot Guidance ensures that robot movements can be executed precisely based on camera data. The URCap interface clearly indicates when the camera and robot are successfully connected and allows the user to perform hand-eye calibration without in-depth vision knowledge. The cobot can then use the "Camera Pose" command to navigate precisely to where the camera detects parts—even in complex situations or varying positions.
Since the system is fully integrated into the In-Sight Explorer software, all of Cognex's powerful vision tools are available. This means that robots can not only pick up parts, but also inspect, measure, or correct their position. The solution is suitable for reliably repeatable pick-and-place processes, inspection tasks, or dynamic handling in a wide range of industrial applications.
