OnRobot HEX Force/
The OnRobot HEX-E/H is a 6-axis force/torque sensor for complex automation tasks such as grinding, deburring, polishing, or precise assembly processes. It measures forces and torques in all spatial directions, enabling consistent tool guidance and high process accuracy. Thanks to plug-and-play integration for Universal Robots, the sensor can be quickly set up and integrated into existing applications.
Description
The OnRobot HEX-E/H enables robot applications to be expanded with precise force and torque control. By measuring forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) and torques (Tx, Ty, Tz), processes such as grinding, polishing, or joining can be performed with constant force. The tool automatically follows the contours of the workpiece, resulting in uniform surfaces and reproducible results.
The integrated software supports functions such as manual guidance, path recording, and automatic calibration. This means that even complex motion sequences can be programmed in just a few minutes. Thanks to optical sensor technology, the sensor is insensitive to shocks and mechanical stress—an advantage in harsh production environments.
The HEX-E variant is particularly suitable for high-precision applications, while the HEX-H is recommended for longer tools due to its higher payload and greater tolerance. Both variants are compatible with Universal Robots and other common robot manufacturers.
