Schmalz ECBPMi for UR

The Schmalz ECBPMi for Universal Robots is a compact, electrically powered vacuum generator for cobots. It is particularly suitable for suction-tight workpieces, small parts, and pick-and-place processes that require a lightweight and easily integrated vacuum solution. The UR version comes with a matching flange plate and enables quick plug-and-work installation.

UR Plug & Work integration
Mounting plate for UR3–UR16 included, ready for immediate use.
Electric vacuum generation
No compressor required, lower installation and maintenance costs.
Compact and lightweight
Ideal for cobots with low payloads and confined workspaces.

Description

The ECBPMi was developed for applications where a single suction cup and particularly compact vacuum technology are sufficient. The electric ejector completely eliminates the need for compressed air, making the system independent of any pneumatic infrastructure.

The vacuum generator is mounted directly on the robot arm using the flange supplied and requires only a 24 V power supply. This reduces the amount of cabling required and ensures a slim end-of-arm design. The compact design is particularly suitable for lightweight robots or stations with limited installation space.

Typical areas of application include pick-and-place tasks, packaging processes, small parts handling, and applications with suction-tight workpieces. The electric control system and low weight ensure a reliable, low-maintenance solution in environments with changing products or fast cycle times.
